Stredair Appuah: France-Ghana winger joins Lommel SK on loan from Palermo

Lommel SK have signed France-Ghana winger Stredair Appuah on a season-long loan from Palermo. The 22-year-old right-sided attacker joins the Belgian club from the Serie B side for the 2026-27 campaign.

Appuah, who prefers to operate as a right winger cutting in from the flank on his left foot, arrives in Belgium after a spell in Italy with Palermo, having initially moved there from FC Nantes in a €1.5 million deal in August 2024. His loan to Lommel runs until June 2027, when he is scheduled to return to the Sicilian club.

Born in Sarcelles and standing at 1.85m, Appuah has built up senior experience across France and Italy despite his age. He has featured in Ligue 1 and Serie B as well as in the Coupe de France and the Italian Cup, alongside extensive minutes in the French lower divisions and youth competitions.

Across his time in France, Appuah accumulated more than 40 appearances in the third tier, scoring seven goals and adding two assists, while also playing in the UEFA Youth League earlier in his career. His blend of size and attacking output from wide positions gives Lommel another option in the final third.

Appuah’s journey has taken him through the academies of Paris Saint-Germain and Nantes following early spells in England with Fulham and Tottenham at youth level.

The winger will spend the 2026-27 season on loan at Lommel SK from Palermo, with his temporary move due to end on 30 June 2027.
