Strasbourg in advanced talks to sign KRC Genk forward Aaron Bibout

Strasbourg are in active negotiations with KRC Genk over the potential signing of Cameroon forward Aaron Bibout, with the Ligue 1 club pushing to bring the 21-year-old to France this summer.

The Alsace side have opened discussions with their Belgian counterparts in recent days and talks are understood to be progressing in a positive direction, according to L’Equipe. No agreement has yet been finalised between the clubs, but Strasbourg are working to find a deal in the current transfer window.

Bibout is under contract with KRC Genk until June 2029, meaning Strasbourg will have to find common ground with the Belgian club over a transfer fee if the move is to go through.

The Cameroon striker scored six goals in 21 Belgian league appearances last season, delivering what has been described as an encouraging campaign given his age and level of experience.
