While Steven N’Zonzi is gearing up to depart, Peter Odemwingie is eager to stay at Stoke.
On loan from Cardiff City until the end of the season, the Nigerian striker has expressed his desire to secure a permanent transfer to Stoke. Not fitting into Cardiff City’s plans, Peter Odemwingie made the move to Stoke in January. The Nigerian international forward, who has previously played for clubs like Lille, is thoroughly enjoying his time at the Britannia Stadium, where he has already netted 5 goals in 9 appearances.
Now, he hopes to make his stay at the Potters permanent. “I had no hesitations about leaving Cardiff because I needed to play,” he stated to the English press. “Now, I’m here in Stoke, and I’m very content. However, I do wish Cardiff all the best to remain in the Premier League.”
Odemwingie, aged 32, arrived in England back in 2010 from the Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow.
