Stephane Omeonga: Belgium-DR Congo midfielder joins Niki Volos on free transfer from Panserraikos
Belgium-DR Congo midfielder Stephane Omeonga has joined Niki Volos on a free transfer from fellow Super League 2 side Panserraikos. The 30-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Volos club.
Omeonga arrives with extensive experience across several European leagues, having built a career in Italy, Scotland, Belgium, Israel and Greece. He moved to Panserraikos in January 2025 from Israeli club Bnei Sakhnin, also on a free transfer, and now remains in Greek football with a switch to Niki Volos confirmed on 24 July 2026.
Born in Rocourt, the 1.77m right-footed midfielder has featured in Serie A and Serie B with Genoa and Pescara, and in the Scottish Premiership with Livingston and Hibernian. His career also included a spell in the Jupiler Pro League with Cercle Brugge and top-flight action in Israel before his recent stint in Greece. Across those competitions he has amassed well over 200 senior appearances, including 70 games in the Scottish Premiership and more than 50 in Serie B.
Omeonga’s market value is currently listed at €400,000 and he has previously reached a career-high valuation of €2m. He is primarily a central midfielder and has contributed goals and assists in league and cup competitions in Scotland and Israel, as well as in Greek play-out fixtures.
Niki Volos’ acquisition of Omeonga on a free transfer secures the Belgian-DR Congo midfielder to the club for the 2026-27 season and beyond.
