Stellenbosch miss out on Blom as Soccer Laduma reveals latest Siya stories

Soccer Laduma’s latest edition, issue 1486, is now available, with the newspaper’s exclusive Siyagobhoza feature leading a wide-ranging collection of stories about South African clubs and players.

The new issue focuses on transfer developments, contract situations and squad planning, with Stellenbosch FC featuring prominently in two of the main reports. One story examines how the club narrowly missed out on Blom, while another reveals that Stellenbosch secured a sell-on clause in the Phili deal.

The publication also provides an update on Msimango’s contract details and reports that Foster could leave England. Matsheke remains linked with Siwelele, while Orlando Pirates have broadened their search for a goalkeeper beyond South Africa.

Sekhukhune United are reported to be frustrated by a repeat contract situation, and Carrim has emerged as a target for Chippa United.

The latest edition also looks at developments involving Kaizer Chiefs. Da Cruz is targeting a leaner squad at the club, while Matsheke’s continued association with Siwelele is among the other issues covered in the issue.

AmaZulu have exercised an option to retain Fielies until 2027. Elsewhere, Mashiane has resurfaced at an ABC Motsepe League club.

The final featured item asks: “Who should replace Broos?” No answer to that question is provided in the listing, which appears on page five of the edition.

The stories are spread across the issue, with the first group appearing on page two. These include the reports on Stellenbosch and Blom, Msimango’s contract, Foster’s possible departure from England, Matsheke’s link with Siwelele, Pirates’ goalkeeper search, Sekhukhune United’s contract frustration and Carrim’s emergence as a Chippa United target.

Page three contains the reports on Stellenbosch’s sell-on clause in the Phili deal, Da Cruz’s plans for a smaller squad at Kaizer Chiefs, AmaZulu’s decision regarding Fielies and Mashiane’s return to the ABC Motsepe League.

The “Who should replace Broos?” feature is listed on page five.
