Stellenbosch FC settle on Peter Mokaba Stadium for CAF Confederation Cup games
South African outfit Stellenbosch FC will play their CAF Confederation Cup group stage home games at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
This means the Stellies will have to travel to Limpopo to honour their home matches due to the unavailability of DHL Cape Town Stadium and their main home venue Danie Craven.
Both venues does not meet the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) requirement, forcing them to move to Peter Mokaba Stadium.
In the previous season, Stellenbosch used Moses Mabhida Stadium as their home ground when the DHL Stadium was booked.
The South African side are in Group C alongside Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Congo-Brazzaville’s AS Otoho and Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars.
Meanwhile, coach Steve Barker insists the CAF matches are to be the stepping stone for returning to form in the Premiership as they are second from bottom.
Stellenbosch FC will open their group stage campaign against Congo-Brazzaville side AS Otoho.
