South African club Stellenbosch FC has finalized the signing of Nigerian centre-back Enyinnaya Kazie on a free transfer.
Kazie, who previously played for Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), brings a wealth of experience to his new team.
The 25-year-old played a pivotal role in helping Rivers United secure their first NPFL title during the 2021/22 season and made over 160 appearances for the Port Harcourt-based side.
Expressing his excitement, Kazie told the club’s official website: “First of all, I want to thank God for bringing me here after a long wait.
I’m very happy to be part of the Stellenbosch family.
This is a great club that has already achieved a lot, including reaching the MTN8 final and competing in the CAF Confederation Cup.
I am eager to add my experience to the team and contribute positively on the pitch.
I promise to give my all to ensure the fans and coaches are happy.
Kazie, who has also represented Nigeria at the international level, will don the number 16 jersey for Stellenbosch.
The defender is expected to make his debut for the club early next month, marking a new chapter in his professional career with aspirations to further bolster Stellenbosch’s defensive strength.
