Stellenbosch FC linked with Plateau United midfielder Kazeem Adeyanju

Kazeem Adeyanju, the Nigeria attacking midfielder at Plateau United, is being linked with a move to Stellenbosch FC in South Africa’s Betway Premiership.

The 20-year-old joined Plateau United from Inter Lagos in August 2025 and has made 28 appearances in the Nigerian Professional Football League, scoring once and providing seven assists.

Adeyanju operates in attacking midfield and is left-footed. His reported market value is €75,000, although no transfer fee has been disclosed in connection with the interest from Stellenbosch.

The potential move would see Adeyanju leave Nigerian football for South Africa, with Stellenbosch identified as the club pursuing him. There has been no confirmation that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs or with the player.

Adeyanju’s listed contract with Plateau United was due to expire on 30 June 2026. He joined the club ahead of the 2025-26 campaign after leaving Inter Lagos, making his NPFL record of 28 appearances, one goal and seven assists his only recorded senior league statistics.

The reported interest comes as Stellenbosch consider adding the Nigeria-born midfielder to their squad, while Adeyanju remains listed with Plateau United.
