Stellenbosch coach Steve Barker joins Tanzania giants Simba SC in a shock move

Tanzania football heavyweights, Simba SC have confirmed Steve Barker as their new head coach. 

Barker joins the Tanzanian outfit in shock move, ending his spell with South African outfit Stellenbosch, who appears to be battling relegation this season.

The 57-year-old tactician joins the club as a replacement for Dimitar Pantev who has parted ways with the club.

Barker achieved significant success during his spell with the South African outfit, including winning the 2023 Carling Knockout Cup and reaching the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Barker holds an A license from UEFA and CAF, and is known for his progressive approach, strong organisational structure, and ability to develop competitive squads.
