En Avant Guingamp has made its first signing for the new Ligue 1 season by securing the services of 25-year-old attacking midfielder Steeven Langil. Langil, who hails from Martinique, was at the end of his contract with AJ Auxerre.
The former Caen player has committed to a two-season contract with the Breton club. Guingamp is returning to Ligue 1 after a 2012-2013 Ligue 2 season where they secured second place in the rankings.
In his last season at AJ Auxerre, Langil demonstrated his skills by scoring three goals and providing eight assists. Despite interest from AS Saint-Etienne, he has chosen to join Guingamp for the upcoming Ligue 1 campaign.
