Mozambique-Germany centre-forward Stanley Ratifo is being linked with a move from Chemie Leipzig to 3. Liga side Erzgebirge Aue, with the switch currently rated at a 59% probability.
The 31-year-old, valued at €125k on Transfermarkt, is attracting interest from Aue as they look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign. Ratifo’s current deal at Regionalliga Nordost club Chemie Leipzig is not publicly listed with an expiry date, raising the prospect that he could become a free agent if no extension is agreed.
Born on 5 December 1994 in Halle an der Saale, the 1.90m right-footed striker has built a career as a classic centre-forward, operating through the middle of the attack. He wears the number 30 shirt for Chemie Leipzig and is registered in the Attack – Centre-Forward role.
Ratifo holds dual nationality with Mozambique and Germany, and his profile lists both countries among his nationalities. He is currently on the books of Chemie Leipzig, who compete in the German fourth tier, while Aue play a division higher in the 3. Liga.
The mooted transfer would therefore represent a step up the pyramid for the forward, whose market value of €125k makes him a relatively low-cost option for an ambitious third-tier side. With no confirmed contract expiry date at Chemie Leipzig, Aue are reported to be monitoring whether a deal could be done on favourable terms, potentially even as a free transfer if his contract situation allows.
Ratifo’s recent outings for Chemie Leipzig in the Regionalliga Nordost have kept him in the shop window, and a move to Erzgebirge Aue would offer the opportunity to test himself more regularly at a higher level and shape the next phase of his career in German professional football.
