Stade Tunisien add Benin striker Bienvenu Vigninou to Ligue 1 squad

Benin centre-forward Bienvenu Vigninou has joined Stade Tunisien from Rwanda’s Rayon Sports, completing a move to the Tunisian Ligue 1 club.

The 23-year-old, who is left-footed and stands 1.83m tall, arrives at Stade Tunisien after spending the first part of 2026 with Rayon Sports. He joined the Rwandan club from Benin side Loto FC on 5 January.

Vigninou’s move to Tunisia continues a career that has included football in Benin, Israel and Rwanda. Before joining Loto FC, he spent the 2024-25 season with Maccabi Herzliya in Israel’s second tier, the Liga Leumit, on loan. He made two appearances in the competition before returning to Loto FC at the end of the temporary spell.

During his time with Rayon Sports, Vigninou also featured in the CAF Confederation Cup, making two appearances and playing 176 minutes. His record with the Rwandan club also included two Liga Leumit appearances and 66 minutes, reflecting the competitions recorded during his recent club career.

At Stade Tunisien, Vigninou joins a club competing in Tunisia’s top division. The transfer was completed on 5 August, ending his seven-month spell with Rayon Sports.

His career to date has involved moves across three African countries and a spell in Israel. He began the 2024-25 campaign with Loto FC before moving temporarily to Maccabi Herzliya, then returned to Loto FC at the end of December 2024. The Benin forward subsequently moved to Rayon Sports in January 2026.

Vigninou now continues his career in Tunisia, with Stade Tunisien becoming the latest club to secure his services. The switch gives the striker a new domestic league and another change of footballing environment after his recent period in Rwanda.

The completed transfer places the 23-year-old in the Stade Tunisien squad for the club’s Ligue 1 campaign.
