Belgian outfit, Sporting Charleroi has announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Raymond Asante.
The club last summer secured the services of the youngster in a loan deal from Italian Serie A outfit Udinese.
Impressive with the performance of Raymond Asante in the U23 team, Sporting Charleroi has now signed Asante in a permanent deal.
“Sporting Charleroi is pleased to announce the permanent transfer of Raymond Asante to Udinese Calcio (Serie A). Arriving this summer on loan, the young Ghanaian winger is now tied to the club until 2026, with an option for two additional years,” the Belgian club said in a statement on Monday, January 20.
In the statement, Sporting Charleroi expressed confidence in the abilities of Raymond Asante.
“Involved daily within the club and author of great performances with the U23s before being sidelined due to injury, Raymond demonstrates exemplary professionalism. The club has full confidence in him and is convinced that he will gradually establish himself in the squad,” the club added.
Asante will now have to work hard to earn a place in the starting eleven of the first team.
