Villarreal have become the latest club to express interest in Ivory Coast international forward Evann Guessand as the summer transfer window heats up.
The 24-year-old attacker is a subject of interest for several clubs across Europe following an outstanding performance in the just ended campaign for OGC Nice.
Guessand is the most bankable asset in the current squad at Nice amid growing interest in the talented attacker this summer.
Wolverhampton Wanderers initially showed interest in the forward, who came through the ranks at Nice, but he was not keen on a move to Molineux.
However, competition for his signature keeps growing, with Villarreal joining Brighton and Fenerbahce for the battle of Guessand’s signature. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce are prepared to submit a €25m bid for the signing of the forward.
Villarreal are bent on securing the signature of the attacker as they gear up for the UEFA Champions League next season.
He joined Nice in 2020 and established himself as a key member of the team. His current contract with the French Ligue 1 outfit is expected to expire in the summer of 2028.
