Spanish giants Real Madrid rule out Kylian Mbappé exit amid speculation
Real Madrid have moved to firmly shut down speculation surrounding the future of Kylian Mbappé, insisting that the French-Cameroonian forward remains a key part of their long-term project.
The 27-year-old, who joined Real Madrid on a free transfer two summers ago after leaving Paris Saint-Germain, has been the subject of increasing media discussion following a challenging spell for the Spanish giants. However, club officials have made it clear that there is no intention to part ways with the France captain.
Mbappé’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabéu was seen as a landmark signing in modern football, with expectations that he would lead a new era of dominance for Real Madrid both domestically and in Europe. While his individual output has remained exceptional, the team has yet to secure a major trophy since his arrival, intensifying scrutiny around performances and overall squad balance.
Despite this, his statistical contribution has been outstanding. Mbappé has continued to demonstrate his elite finishing ability, registering 42 goals in 44 matches last season and accumulating 86 goals in 103 appearances overall for the club. His consistency in front of goal has reinforced his status as one of the most prolific attackers in world football.
However, Real Madrid’s recent struggles in major competitions have led to growing frustration among supporters and increased media debate about the team’s direction. The pressure at the Bernabéu has been particularly evident during difficult periods of form, with the spotlight naturally falling on high-profile players such as Mbappé.
Reports of tension have occasionally surfaced, including claims of fan dissatisfaction during certain matches, but the club has maintained a unified public stance behind their star forward.
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez has now moved to put an end to any speculation regarding Mbappé’s future.
“Mbappé is one of the best players in the world, and he will not leave,” Pérez said. “You only have to look at his stats and see the magnitude of our player. No one should doubt such an extraordinary player.” He said.
The statement comes at a time when Pérez is also preparing for re-election as club president, with stability within the squad likely to be a key theme of his campaign message.
For Real Madrid, the message is clear: despite external speculation and recent challenges, Mbappé remains central to their sporting project, and there are no plans to consider his departure.
As the club looks to regain dominance on the pitch, all attention will now turn to ensuring that their marquee signing can be fully integrated into a winning system capable of delivering silverware in the seasons ahead.
