Spanish international of Ghanaian descent Nico Williams has reportedly agreed to join Premier League giants, Arsenal in the summer.
Williams was consistently been linked with a move last summer, with several clubs including Arsenal expressing keen interest in the winger following his outstanding performance for club and country in recent times.
However, the talented winger opted to snub significant transfer interest in order to remain at Athletic Bilbao.
The Gunners have remained in talks to sign the Spain international after failing to land his services last summer. In the quest to strengthen their attack, and they have now reached an agreement with Williams.
According to Spanish outlet TodoFichajes, Williams has given his agent the green light to finalise a deal with Arsenal, with Aston Villa, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United set to miss out of the forward.
The deal will reportedly see the Spanish-Ghanaian winger become the highest-paid player at Arsenal.
Arsenal will trigger his €58 million release clause when the summer window opens. Williams is expected to usurp both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli to become Arsenal’s first choice left winger next season.
