Nigerian midfielder, Christantus Uche will reportedly be part of the Super Eagles squad that will be assembled by head coach Eric Sekou Chelle for the March international break.
If he is invited, this will be the first time the Spain-based midfielder will be joining the Super Eagles camp.
Currently playing for Getafe, Christantus Uche has been in fine form this season and has reportedly impressed the new technical team set-up of Nigeria’s national team.
Next month, Nigeria is scheduled to play two games in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Super Eagles will first take on Rwanda on March 17 before hosting Zimbabwe on March 24.
Coach Eric Sekou Chelle is hoping to get his call-ups for the upcoming games right to ensure victory in both matches.
Nigeria after four games in the World Cup qualifiers sits fourth in the Group C standings.
Further dropping points will be harmful to the chances of the Super Eagles earning qualification for next year’s mundial.
