Marc-André ter Stegen, the goalkeeper for Borussia Mönchengladbach, has been strongly linked with a move to FC Barcelona for some time. Advised by former Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes, Ter Stegen has made it clear that he intends to join Barcelona next season. He bid farewell to Mönchengladbach’s supporters recently, stating, “I am sure and certain that I want to sign for Barça.”
According to reports from Spacefoot, Ter Stegen’s transfer to Barcelona is expected to be finalized after the end of the current season and during the summer transfer window. The transfer fee is reported to be around 20 million euros.
Ter Stegen is seen as the long-term replacement for Victor Valdés, who has expressed his desire to leave Barcelona.
