Fenerbahce can express gratitude to their African players, Moussa Sow from Senegal and Emmanuel Emenike from Nigeria, for securing a crucial victory on Sunday against Erciyesspor. The Senegalese and Nigerian players played pivotal roles in bringing three points back to Istanbul, allowing Fenerbahce to maintain their position at the top of the Turkish Super Lig.
Moussa Sow opened the scoring for Fenerbahce, but Erciyesspor managed to equalize, causing difficulties for the Istanbul club. Fortunately, Emmanuel Emenike came to the rescue with a late goal in the 90th minute, securing victory for his team.
Emenike had also played a crucial role as the hero for Nigeria in the first leg of the 2014 World Cup against Ethiopia the previous weekend, contributing to a 2-1 victory.
