South Sudan’s national football team coach Nicolas Dupuis has announced a provisional squad of 31 players as the Bright Stars gear up for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The squad selection will serve as preparation for South Sudan’s fixtures against the Democratic Republic of Congo on March 21 and Sudan on March 25, in what will be crucial encounters in their qualification campaign.
The initial list includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders, and 13 forwards, with the players set to convene for training to fine-tune tactical details before the final squad is confirmed.
Coach Dupuis’ selection underlines his commitment to building a competitive squad capable of making a mark in the qualification series.
The announcement signals the beginning of a key phase in South Sudan’s quest to secure a place at the 2026 World Cup.
