South Sudan’s national football team has been plunged into uncertainty ahead of their crucial encounter against Uganda in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers on Friday, October 11, 2024.

Dupuis, who had travelled to Europe for personal reasons, has reportedly gone missing, leaving both the team in a state of concern and confusion.

The Frenchman was expected to return to South Sudan well ahead of the upcoming match to prepare the team for what promises to be a fiercely contested game.

However, no communication has been received from him, and his whereabouts remain unknown.

The situation has left the South Sudan Football Association scrambling for answers, as there has been no indication of foul play or any official explanation for his sudden disappearance.

This untimely event has cast a shadow over South Sudan’s preparations as they gear up to face Uganda in the double-header.

With the team relying on Dupuis’ tactical expertise, the uncertainty surrounding his absence raises questions about how the squad will perform under such challenging circumstances.

The reverse match of the double-header takes place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Juba Stadium in South Sudan.
