South African teenage sensation Waylon Renecke has secured a significant move to Swedish outfit Orgryte IS in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old defender joins the Swedish second-tier club until the end of 2025 from Danish giants FC Copenhagen and is expected to continue his development at the club in the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
Waylon is a product of England’s Norwich, where he featured for the youth teams from 2021 to 2024. In September 2024, he joined the academy of Copenhagen, making 23 appearances for Copenhagen’s youth team, and scoring twice.
Known for his defensive capabilities, Waylon Renecke is expected to develop his game to the highest level in Sweden. He could secure a permanent move to the club if he manages to impress in the short term.
The defender, who has England root has already featured for South Africa at the youth level and will be hoping to develop to the national level.
