South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly reached an agreement with Orlando Pirates to secure the services of influential forward Monnapule Saleng.
The Amakhosi outfit are keen on strengthening their squad for the upcoming campaign following an inconsistent performance in the recently concluded season, particularly in the South African top-flight.
Despite ending their 10-year trophy drought by clinching the South African Cup, Kaizer Chief miss out on the top eight, prompting massive squad reinforcement.
According report, Kaizer Chiefs have reached consensus to snap up the 27-year-old attacker from Orlando Pirates.
As reported earlier by AfricaSoccer.com, contract renewal talks between Pirates and Saleng stalled due to the player’s salary demands.
His proposed move to Kaizer Chiefs, Pirates direct rivals in South Africa, is expected to spark controversies in the country.
The 27-year-old attacker made just 13 appearances across competitions this season for Pirates, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
His last appearance for Pirates in the recently concluded season was back in December 2024.
