As the new season approaches, South African top-flight outfit TS Galaxy has been slapped with a latest transfer ban, preventing the club from making augmenting their squad.
This mark TS Galaxy’s second transfer ban by the world football’s governing body (FIFA). While the reasons behind this decision have not been disclosed, the club is now prohibited from registering new players for the next three transfer windows.
However, this hardly makes a difference for TS Galaxy, as the club has already been under an indefinite transfer ban since April 29. Most likely, the club is facing significant debts related to transfers or unpaid wages to players or staff.
TS Galaxy will have to settle all debts to get rid of the numerous transfer bans imposed on the club. Few days to the start of the league season, the club now faces a daunting challenge to get new players on board for the campaign.
Despite these off-field issues, TS Galaxy managed to secure an impressive fifth-place finish in the Premiership, missing out on a continental tournament spot by 12 points.
