Siwelele FC have confirmed the appointment of former Orlando Pirates captain Lehlohonolo Seema as their new head coach.

The 45-year-old tactician was unattached following his departure from Sekhukhune United towards the end of last season.

Seema parted ways with fellow South African outfit Sekhukhune United in March 2025 and was being replaced by Eric Tinkler, who was axed by Cape Town City FC.

“We are proud to present Lehlohonolo Seema as the head coach of Siwelele. This is the beginning of a new chapter.” Wrote the club.

Seema arrives at Siwelele with quite some good experience, having coached Bloemfontein Celtic, Chippa United, Black Leopards, Golden Arrows, Polokwane City, and Sekhukhune United.

Initially, former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena had been linked with the Siwelele position, but he opted to return to North Africa and take charge at MC Alger.

Born in Lesotho, Seema dedicated eight years to playing for Siwelele before moving to Orlando Pirates. Later, he also served as the team’s coach and is cherished by the Bloemfontein community.
