South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs is on the verge of securing the services of Portugal forward Flávio Silva in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Soweto giants are determined to make impact in the upcoming campaign, and Silva, who plies his trade for Persebaya Surabaya in Indonesia has emerged as a priority target.
According to reports, Kaizer Chiefs have moved closer to securing the signing of the 29-year-old attacker.
Flávio, born in Guinea-Bissau, moved to Portugal at a young age, where he began his football journey at the Sporting academy and later obtained Portuguese citizenship.
Currently, Silva plays for Indonesian side Persebaya Surabaya, where he is the team’s top scorer with 23 goals in 29 matches.
While the contract details remain undisclosed, sources indicate that the player is at the final stage of signing with Kaizer Chiefs.
Silva’s current contract with his club runs until 2026, and his market value is estimated at €300,000.
