South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have ended their pursuit of midfielder Mihali Mayambela in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The Soweto giants are bolstering their squad with marquee signings for the 2025/26 campaign in an attempt to compete for laurels. Despite ending their trophyless run, the Soweto giants missed out on the top eight in the South African top-flight, prompting swift squad augmentation for the new campaign.
However, the Amakhosi are said not to be willing to break the bank for any transfer. The Naturena-based club has put negotiations on hold for the acquisition of Mihali Mayambela due to Aris Limassol’s demands.
The Cypriot outfit are demanding a transfer fee around R15 million (836,121 dollars), an amount Kaizer Chiefs consider excessive.
With his contract set to expire next summer, Kaizer Chiefs could secure the signature of the midfielder as a free agent.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs continue to push to augment their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
