South African outfit Golden Arrows have completed the acquisition of former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Jerome Karlese in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old attacker joined Golden Arrows on permanent deal from fellow South African club Hout Bay United.
Jerome Karlese performed admirably in the recently concluded football campaign, netting 20 goals under the guidance of Michael Loftman and finishing as the top scorer in Africa’s third-tier league.
Emerging as a top transfer target for several clubs, Golden Arrows have won the race to snap up the attacker this summer.
The highly-rated attacker will join the first team upon his arrival at Abafana Bes’thende.
Head coach Manqoba Mngqithi is familiar with Karlese from his days at Sundowns, though he never had the chance to work closely with the striker, despite always rating him highly.
The former Hout Bay forward is expected to spearhead the Arrows’ attack following the departure of Knox Mutizwa.
