South African outfit AmaZulu FC confirm signing of ex-Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Thabiso Kutumela
AmaZulu FC have completed the acquisition of former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Thabiso Kutumela in the current transfer window.
The 32-year-old experienced midfielder joins AmaZulu FC as a free agent following his departure from Sundowns at the end of the campaign.
Kutumela penned a one-year deal with AmaZulu FC with an option to extend and is expected to play a pivotal role for the club in the 2025/26 football campaign.
The midfielder moved to Mamelodi Sundowns in 2021 from Maritzburg United but struggled to secure a regular place in the “Brazilians” starting lineup, leading to loan spells at Cape Town City and Richards Bay.
Having found a new home, the midfielder will be hoping to make meaningful impact to merit contract extension at the club.
Kutumela has made nine appearances for the South African national team, scoring two goals across the period since marking his debut 2016.
