South African outfit Orlando Pirates face huge fixture congestion issues amid their successful performance both domestically and internationally.

The Soweto giants currently has five outstanding matches in the South Africa Premier League due to their Champions League campaign.

Pirates must play Galaxy, AmaZulu, as well as SuperSport United, Magesi FC, and Arrows at a new dates. Their game against Magesi which was supposed to take place on April 30 has been postponed, with Pirates expected to take on Sekhukhune United instead.

However, dates for the matches against Galaxy and AmaZulu are set for May 17 and 24, respectively. Meanwhile, the dates for the remaining outstanding games remain unknown.

With Pirates in the semifinals of the South Africa Cup competition, still competing for the Premier League title and also in the hunt to win the Champions League, it leaves Jose Riveiro’s team with a potentially packed schedule between now and the end of the season.

Orlando Pirates played out a 0-0 draw against Pirates FC at the Iconic FNB Stadium in the first leg Champions League semifinals. They are expected to travel to Egypt for the crucial return clash on april 2025.
