South African international Thembinkosi Lorch is closing in on a move to Libyan outfit Al Ittihad in the current winter transfer window.
Lorch, who plies his tared for Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca has attracted significant interest following his swashbuckling performance this season.
The forward has racked up five goals and delivered four assists in 11 appearances for the Moroccan outfit in the current campaign drawing the attention of the Libyan club.
Africasocer.com has gathered Al Ittihad have submitted an offer hard to resist for the Red Castle. The Moroccan giants are willing to let go of the South African international, with Moise Paniagua and veteran attack-minded players in Wissam Ben Yedder and Hakim Ziyech recently joining the club.
Al-Ittihad’s extravagance on players has seen them bring players for amounts as high as R20-million as they signed Togo international Yawo Agbagno from ASO Chlef and Kahraba from Egyptian giants Al-Ahly.
Besides, the Libyan club signed Botwana international Thatoyayone Ditlhokwe from Kaizer Chiefs for a reported R15-million price.
Despite his outstanding performance, Lorch missed out on the South African squad for the recently concluded AFCON 2025 tournament, held in Morocco.
