South African attacker Relebohile Mofokeng’s proposed move to Maccabi Haifa has stalled amid ongoing military conflict and heightened security risks in Israeli.

Maccabi Haifa are keen on strengthening for the upcoming football campaign, and Mofokeng, who is in the books of Orlando Pirates has emerged as a priority target.

With Israeli currently at war with Iran, Mofokeng’s potential transfer to Maccabi Haifa could hit a snag.

Despite recent happenings, Maccabi Haifa remains optimistic about signing the 20-year-old in the ongoing summer transfer window.

The Israeli outfit has reportedly assured the players representative about his safety in an attempt to secure his signing this summer.

The 20-year-old performed admirably for Orlando Pirates in the recently concluded campaign, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in 26 appearances in the South African top-flight.

Meanwhile, the young Orlando Pirates star has popped up on the radar of English League One side Reading.
