South African tactician Rhulani Mokwena is not on the radar of Algerian outfit MC Alger as the club seek for a new trainer heading into the new season.
Mokwena is currently without a club after ending his spell with Moroccan outfit Wydad Casablanca before the closure of the last campaign.
Earlier report suggested the Algerian club has shortlisted Mokwena and two other coaches for the club’s vacant coaching role. MC Alger has been in the market searching for a top tactician after parting ways with Khaled Ben Yahia following the end of his six-month contract.
In a dramatic turn of event, Mokwena is said not to be on the radar of the Algerian powerhouse. MC Alger is aiming to bring in a high-profile figure from the continent, as club officials have set an ambitious goal — achieving international success.
Mokwena came close to joining Orlando Pirates, but negotiation fell through at the final stage.
MC Alger are exploring moves for several coaches for the new campaign, but the South African gaffer is not currently on their radar.
