Togolese midfielder Womé Dové continues to shine in South African football. After lifting the league title with Mamelodi Sundowns, he has now claimed the League Cup (Telkom Knockout 2014) with SuperSport United, defeating Platinum Stars 3-2 in a thrilling final played on Saturday.

  • Ngambi opened the scoring for Platinum Stars in the 27th minute.

  • Daniels responded for SuperSport, converting a penalty in the 36th minute to bring the teams level at 1-1 by the end of regular time.

In extra time:

  • Daniels struck again with another penalty in the 103rd minute.

  • Platinum Stars hit back immediately, equalizing just a minute later.

  • With penalties looming, Thuso Phala netted the decisive goal, sealing the victory for Matsatsantsa.
