South Africa v Ivory Coast at Women’s AFCON 2026: How to watch and kick-off time for key Group B clash
Ivory Coast will look to book an early place in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations when they face South Africa in Casablanca on Friday, with the match live on television in both France and Cote d’Ivoire.
The Group B fixture kicks off at 19:00 in France (17:00 in Cote d’Ivoire) at Stade Moulay Rachid in Morocco. Viewers in France can watch live on beIN Sports Max 5, while the game will be shown in Cote d’Ivoire on RTI and Canal+ Sport.
Ivory Coast returned to the Women’s AFCON this year after a 12-year absence and made an immediate statement in their opening match, sweeping aside Burkina Faso 4-1. Ines Konan struck twice, with further goals from Rebecca Elloh and Safi N’sira completing a convincing victory.
That result put the Ivorians top of Group B on goal difference ahead of Tanzania. A second win on Friday would secure their passage into the knockout phase and see them join hosts Morocco, who on Thursday became the first side to qualify for the quarter-finals after eliminating Algeria.
Reaching the last eight would mark only the second time Ivory Coast have advanced from the group stage at the Women’s AFCON, following their historic first appearance in the knockout rounds in 2014.
South Africa, however, are expected to provide a far sterner examination than Burkina Faso. The South Africans finished fourth at the previous edition of the tournament and arrive in Casablanca needing a response after a 2-1 defeat by Tanzania in their opening match.
That loss has left South Africa chasing points to keep their own quarter-final hopes alive, adding extra edge to a meeting that could shape the final outcome of Group B.
Both teams therefore go into Friday’s game with clear and contrasting priorities: Ivory Coast aiming to confirm qualification with a match to spare, and South Africa seeking to reignite their campaign after an early setback.
