Morocco star Soufiane Rahimi named UAE Pro League Player of the Season

Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi has been voted the UAE Pro League’s best player for the 2025-26 season after playing a major role in Al Ain’s return to the top of Emirati football.

The Al Ain forward received the highest number of votes in a public poll organised by the UAE Pro League through its official website and smart application.

Rahimi finished ahead of several leading players, including his Al Ain team-mate Rami Rabia and Al Wasl’s Argentine midfielder Nicolas Jimenez.

Rahimi helps Al Ain reclaim UAE title

The award caps an impressive campaign for the Moroccan forward, who was an important figure as Al Ain won the UAE Pro League title for the 15th time.

Al Ain ended a three-season wait for the championship, with Rahimi’s performances contributing to a campaign that restored the club to the summit of domestic football.

The achievement adds another individual honour to Rahimi’s growing reputation in the UAE, where he has established himself as one of the league’s leading attacking players.

Moroccan star’s rise continues

Rahimi’s influence extends beyond club football, with the forward also becoming an important member of the Morocco national team.

The 29-year-old developed his reputation in Morocco with Raja Casablanca before moving to Al Ain in 2021. During his time with Raja, he helped the club win the CAF Confederation Cup twice and the CAF Super Cup once.

His performances in the UAE subsequently strengthened his status as one of Morocco’s prominent attacking players.

Rahimi’s reputation has also grown through his displays on the international stage, particularly during Morocco’s strong run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
