Soufiane Rahimi inspires Al Ain to 4-0 victory over Al Nassr after Al Hilal rout

Soufiane Rahimi once again proved decisive against one of Saudi Arabia’s leading clubs as Al Ain beat Al Nassr 4-0 in the latest major Asian encounter.

The Morocco striker had already been central to a landmark victory over Al Hilal, and now played a significant role in another emphatic win against Saudi opposition. His latest performance revived memories of the night he helped Al Ain defeat Al Hilal 4-2 in the first leg of the semi-final of the AFC Champions League Elite in the 2023-2024 season.

Rahimi was more than a member of the Al Ain side in that match. He became its outstanding figure by scoring a hat-trick, guiding the UAE club to a notable 4-2 success and leaving his mark on one of its most memorable Asian performances.

Years later, Rahimi found himself facing another of Saudi Arabia’s biggest clubs. This time, Al Nassr were unable to contain his movement and attacking threat as the pattern of a four-goal Al Ain victory was repeated, with an even heavier defeat for the Saudi side.

The forward was directly involved in two of Al Ain’s goals. He scored the third in the 72nd minute before setting up the fourth for Giakoumakis in the 85th minute.

Those contributions made Rahimi the key link between Al Ain’s two four-goal victories over Al Hilal and Al Nassr. He scored three times against Al Hilal, then followed that performance against Al Nassr with a goal and an assist.

His influence has therefore extended across two high-profile Asian ties against Saudi Arabia’s biggest clubs, with Rahimi continuing to create difficult memories for their supporters in the AFC Champions League Elite.
