Soufiane Lagzir: Moroccan winger joins Paganese on free transfer

Moroccan winger Soufiane Lagzir has joined Italian side Paganese on a free transfer from Heraclea. The 31-year-old right-sided attacker has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Serie D – Girone H club.

Lagzir, who was born in Casablanca and stands at 1.80m, arrives with significant experience across multiple leagues and brings a left-footed option on the right flank. Paganese have moved for the player with his market value currently assessed at around €50,000.

The move continues a busy period in Lagzir’s career. He only linked up with Heraclea in December 2025, also as a free agent, having previously turned out for Vibonese and Fasano earlier in the 2025-26 campaign. Each of those switches came without a transfer fee as he navigated a series of short-term spells in the Italian game.

Before returning to Italy, Lagzir had stints in Morocco and the Middle East. He spent the 2024-25 season with Sarnese after joining from Moroccan club MAS Fes in July 2024, following an earlier move to the Fes side from Al-Yarmouk SC in 2022. His career has also taken in spells with Casale and multiple periods at Maltese champions Hamrun Spartans, where he won the league title in the 2020-21 season.

Primarily used as a right winger, Lagzir’s arrival adds depth and experience to Paganese’s attacking options as they prepare for the new Serie D campaign. The deal sees the Moroccan commit his future to the Campania-based club until the summer of 2027.
