Soufiane Lagzir has completed a move from US Vibonese to ASD Heraclea Calcio on a free transfer, signing a deal that runs from 2025-12-02 to 2026-06-30.

The 31-year-old Moroccan right winger leaves Vibonese in Serie D – Girone I for another step in Italian lower-league football with Heraclea, who compete in Serie D – Girone H. The switch keeps Lagzir in Italy but marks a change of group and environment as Heraclea look to strengthen their attacking options with an experienced wide player valued at €75k on the transfer market.

Heraclea secure a player whose game is built around operating from the right flank and cutting inside on his preferred left foot. While the deal has been completed on a free, Lagzir arrives with a long and varied CV across several countries and divisions, adding depth and know-how to a squad fighting in one of Serie D’s most competitive groups. The transfer also closes a brief spell at Vibonese, whom he joined earlier in the 2025-26 season.

Born in Casablanca on 25 Oct 1994, Lagzir has spent much of his senior career abroad rather than in his native Morocco. After early spells in Italy with Sporting Recco, GS Arconatese and Calcio Budoni, his market value climbed during a stint at KACM Marrakech, where he reached the €200,000 mark in 2018. A subsequent move to Hamrun Spartans in Malta saw his valuation peak at €250,000 in late 2019, reflecting his importance there before a gradual decline in later years.

His career then took him to Al-Yarmouk SC in Kuwait, followed by a return to Morocco with MAS Fès, where he fluctuated between €150,000 and €200,000 in market value between 2022 and 2024. Another move back to Italy with FC Sarnese 1926 preceded short spells at US Città di Fasano and Vibonese, with his valuation eventually settling at €75,000 during his time in Serie D – Girone I.

Lagzir’s recent trajectory underlines a player comfortable adapting to different football cultures: from North Africa to the Gulf, Malta and multiple Italian regions. Although detailed match-by-match statistics, appearances and goal contributions for the current season are not provided in the data, his repeated recruitment by clubs in Serie D suggests coaches view him as a reliable option in the attacking third, capable of adding width and technical quality.

For Heraclea, the signing represents a relatively low-risk addition with upside. They gain an experienced winger who has handled varying tactical demands and pressure in different leagues, and who fits naturally into the Italian game after several spells in the country. For Lagzir, the move offers continuity in Italy while giving him another opportunity to re-establish his value and influence in Serie D – Girone H.

With his contract now in place from 2025-12-02 to 2026-06-30, the focus shifts to how effectively Lagzir can translate his experience into performances for Heraclea and whether this latest chapter in Italy can stabilise and potentially revitalise his career trajectory.
