Soufiane Bidaoui makes Diegem Sport return on contract until 2027
Moroccan-Belgian winger Soufiane Bidaoui has returned to Diegem Sport after a spell without a club, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2027.
The 36-year-old left winger rejoins the Belgian club on 23 August 2026, bringing him back to the side where his senior career began. Bidaoui first moved into Diegem Sport’s senior team from Diegem Under-19s in July 2008 before leaving for KVC Westerlo a year later.
Bidaoui has spent much of his career in Belgium and Italy, with his most recent club appearance coming during his time with SPAL. He joined the Italian side from Frosinone in September 2024, having made the move on a free transfer, and departed SPAL in July 2025.
His career includes 205 appearances in Serie B, in which he scored 24 goals and provided 26 assists. He also played in Serie A, Serie C and the Italian Cup, alongside spells in Belgium’s top two divisions.
Bidaoui was part of the Frosinone side that won the Italian second division title in the 2022-23 season. He had joined Frosinone from Ascoli in January 2023, with the transfer carrying a fee of €200,000.
The winger has also represented clubs including Parma, Crotone, Latina Calcio, Spezia Calcio and Avellino. His time in Belgium has included spells with Lierse SK, KSV Roeselare, KVC Westerlo and Diegem Sport.
Bidaoui, who was born in Etterbeek and stands 1.68m tall, is capable of operating on the left side of the attack and prefers to use his right foot. His return gives Diegem Sport an experienced attacking player with a substantial record in Italian league football.
The move marks a return to familiar surroundings for Bidaoui, 18 years after he first stepped into senior football at Diegem Sport. He is now under contract with the club until the end of June 2027.
