Bashir Hayford Appointed Somalia National Team Coach
The Somali Football Federation has announced the appointment of Bashir Hayford as the new head coach of the national team. The Ghanaian tactician takes over from Ugandan coach Mawa Haruna, who has left the position.
Hayford brings extensive experience to his new role. He previously managed the Black Queens, Ghana’s women’s national team, leading them during the last Africa Cup of Nations held on home soil. In addition, he has coached top Ghanaian clubs including Asante Kotoko and AshGold, earning recognition for his tactical acumen and leadership skills.
