Sofyan Amrabat: Olympiacos eye move for Fenerbahce and Morocco midfielder
Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat, currently at Fenerbahce, is being linked with a move to Greek champions Olympiacos as the Super League side assess options to strengthen their midfield.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder, who also holds Dutch nationality, is valued at 10m and is listed with a nine per cent chance of completing the switch from the Turkish Super Lig to Piraeus.
Amrabat only returned to Fenerbahce this summer after a loan spell at Real Betis, where his market value stood at 10m in June following a period of decline from a peak of 30m during his Fiorentina days.
His potential arrival would bring Olympiacos a right-footed holding midfielder with significant experience across major European leagues, including recent stints in Turkiye, Spain, Italy and England.
Amrabat joined Fenerbahce permanently from Fiorentina in 2025 after an initial loan, having previously spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Manchester United, where his value was assessed at up to 28m.
Before his time in the Premier League and La Liga, he built a reputation in Serie A with Hellas Verona and Fiorentina, rising sharply in value during his Verona spell and earning a move to Florence in 2020.
Earlier in his career, the 1.85m midfielder established himself in the Netherlands with FC Utrecht and Feyenoord before moving to Belgian side Club Brugge and then on to Italy.
No deal has been agreed between Fenerbahce and Olympiacos, and the rumour currently remains at an early stage with a relatively low stated probability of completion.
