Sofiane Rahimi, the player for Al Ain in the United Arab Emirates, has expressed his immense happiness at returning to Morocco’s national team after an absence of a year and a half.
Rahimi has been included in the Lions’ squad for the March camp, preparing for two friendly matches against Angola and Mauritania.
Speaking to the Moroccan Football Federation website, Rahimi stated that he would exert maximum effort to satisfy the coach and the Moroccan fans.
“It’s definitely remarkable and fills me with pride to mark my return once again to the same assembly with the same elements and earn the coach’s trust after great effort and work with my team,” he said.
He continued, “Thank God for translating this desire that has always haunted me, and I promise to live up to the expectations of those who believed in me.”
“The atmosphere hasn’t changed with the same harmony and the family motto, and the present elements are determined to deliver a fantastic match against Angola after the AFCON disappointment.
This generation impressed the world in the World Cup, and the slip in the Ivory Coast tournament will not diminish its value. Once again, I promise to give my best,” he added.
