As of the 9th day of Ligue 1, FC Sochaux will continue to be led by Omar Daf, who has been serving as interim coach since the resignation of Eric Hély. FC Sochaux announced through L’Equipe that Daf will remain on the bench for the upcoming match against Bordeaux. The club plans to appoint a new coach “at the end of the week or at the beginning of next week,” as stated by Sochaux leaders to L’Equipe.
Sochaux is reportedly in the process of interviewing several coaches for the position, including Pablo Correa, Hervé Renard, and Jean-Pierre Papin. Omar Daf, the former Senegalese international, is temporarily tasked with leading the team and recently guided FC Sochaux to their first victory of the season on the 8th day against Valenciennes.
