SNEIJDER CONGRATULATES HIS TEAMMATE KUYT VIA TWITTER
Despite not being able to meet face to face, Wesley Sneijder, the Inter Milan midfielder, took the opportunity to send his congratulations to his Dutch compatriot and national team teammate, Dirk Kuyt. Kuyt had an impressive performance, scoring a double for his club Fenerbahce during the return match of the 3rd round of the Champions League. Sneijder expressed his congratulations on Kuyt’s achievement through a tweet, stating, “Congratulations to my friend Dirk Kuyt for these two goals with his new club Fenerbahce.” The message undoubtedly brought joy to Kuyt, who played a crucial role in Fenerbahce’s 4-1 victory over the Romanian club FC Vaslui, securing their place in the Champions League play-offs. Kuyt notably found the net in the 71st and 76th minutes of the game.
Known for their close friendship both on and off the field, Sneijder and Kuyt will have another opportunity to exchange congratulations soon. They are set to face each other during the upcoming friendly match between the Netherlands and Belgium, featuring the talented Eden Hazard.
