After a promising start to the Ligue 1 season, Stade Malherbe de Caen will be looking to extend their winning streak to three matches when they travel to face OGC Nice this Saturday. However, the Normandy side will have to contend with the absence of several key players due to injury.
Benin international Emmanuel Imorou is among the unavailable, having sustained a calf strain during the match against Toulouse. The left-back is expected to remain sidelined until early September as he recovers.
Midfielder Jordan Nkololo will also miss the trip to the south coast after suffering a meniscus injury, while experienced defender Alaeddine Yahia is ruled out with a thigh problem.
Despite these setbacks, Caen head into the weekend full of confidence following back-to-back victories. Their early-season form has placed them among the league’s surprise packages, and manager Patrice Garande will be eager to maintain momentum, even with a depleted squad.
