Casimir Ninga remains a doubt for Caen’s Ligue 1 clash against Reims this Saturday due to a knee injury that has kept him out of training this week. The Chadian striker’s participation is uncertain as the club monitors his recovery.
“They are better but still uncertain, like Armougom who had a minor muscle strain. For the moment, we are being cautious. Enzo and Casimir trained lightly today,” Caen coach Rolland Courbis explained at a Thursday press conference. He added that a final decision on the three players’ availability would be made on Friday or even Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, Yacine Bammou is in good form and is expected to feature in the starting lineup. “There are also players who can be given a second chance, like Yacine Bammou. We’re not here to complain, we’re here to fight for our place,” Courbis noted, highlighting the team’s determination to compete despite injury concerns.
With Ninga’s status still uncertain, Bammou and other fit players are set to take on key roles as Caen prepares for the 36th round of Ligue 1 fixtures.
