Slovan Liberec secure Nigeria winger Johnson Dauda in €800,000 Novi Pazar move

Slovan Liberec have signed Nigeria winger Johnson Dauda from Serbian club Novi Pazar for €800,000, completing a move that takes the 19-year-old into the Czech Republic’s Chance Liga.

Dauda, who plays on the left wing, joined Liberec on 1 September after beginning the 2026-27 season with Novi Pazar. The Nigerian had made seven appearances in the Super Liga Srbije before switching clubs, starting in 86% of Novi Pazar’s possible matches and playing 442 minutes.

He supplied one assist during that run but did not score. Dauda also received two yellow cards and was involved in 20% of his side’s goals during his appearances.

The move represents a step up from Serbian top-flight football to the Czech first division for a player who only moved into Novi Pazar’s senior squad at the start of July. He had previously played for Novi Pazar’s under-19 side after arriving at the club on a free transfer from an undisclosed previous team in September 2025.

Born in Makurdi, Nigeria, Dauda is 1.85m tall and favours his left foot. His preferred position is left winger, giving Liberec a young attacking player accustomed to operating from the flank.

Dauda’s short spell with Novi Pazar included involvement in all seven of the club’s possible league matches at the start of the campaign. His arrival at Liberec comes with the Czech club competing in the Chance Liga, while Novi Pazar continue in Serbia’s Super Liga.

The transfer was completed on 1 September, with Liberec paying €800,000 for the Nigerian winger. Dauda leaves Novi Pazar after making seven league appearances and joins Slovan Liberec at the age of 19.
