Slot surprises Mohamed Salah before farewell match

Mohamed Salah will play his final match for Liverpool this weekend as the club prepares to bid him farewell at Anfield.

Liverpool face Brentford on Sunday to close the Premier League season, with the Reds currently fifth on 59 points.

Liverpool’s official X account showed that head coach Arne Slot and the players presented Salah with a commemorative gift ahead of Saturday’s training session. The same gesture was made for Scottish full‑back Andy Robertson, who is also leaving the club this summer.

Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Roma, the same window that brought Robertson from Hull City. A behind‑the‑scenes Liverpool video of the pair training together at AXA captures the light moments before the final matchday.

Mohamed Salah has also stated that he does not regret his decision to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, even after briefly considering a change of heart.

Salah said he had tried to reverse his decision, but felt the situation was no longer heading in the right direction. He added that he believes fans will understand he gave everything for the club and that his bond with supporters has always been built on effort, honesty and commitment.
