Slavia Prague manager Jindrich Trpisovsky has acknowledged the possibility of left-back El Hadji Malick Diouf departing the club, as Premier League interest intensifies in the final days of the transfer window.

The Senegalese defender, who came off the bench in Slavia Prague’s 2-2 Europa League draw against Malmö on Thursday, delivered an impressive performance, including a crucial assist for Ivan Schranz’s equaliser in the 76th minute.

His display further cemented his growing reputation, with clubs such as Crystal Palace, Brighton, Chelsea, and Liverpool closely monitoring his situation.

Speaking after the match, Trpisovsky was questioned about the 20-year-old’s future amid speculation linking him to the English top flight.

While praising Diouf’s focus and commitment, the Czech coach admitted that keeping him until the end of the season remains uncertain.

“The big positive point is that he doesn’t talk to anyone about it and focuses on himself.

We would have liked him to stay until the end of the season—we saw his contribution against Malmö,” Trpisovsky stated.

Premier League Clubs in Pursuit

Diouf has been a standout performer for Slavia Prague this season, establishing himself as a key player on the left flank.

Since arriving from Galaxy Foot Academy Dakar and the Mawade Mawade Academy, he has tallied six goals and four assists across 30 appearances in all competitions.

Crystal Palace, in particular, have shown strong interest as they seek competition for Tyrick Mitchell.

The London club has already submitted two offers—€15 million and €17 million—both of which were rejected by Slavia Prague, who are holding out for at least €20 million.

With just three days remaining before the transfer window closes, a move remains on the cards.

However, Trpisovsky remains confident in Diouf’s ability to stay focused despite ongoing speculation.

“I think he doesn’t pay attention to the rumours at all,” the Slavia coach remarked.

“He was one of our best players against PAOK, he throws himself into matches with a lot of commitment.

He knows that nothing will escape him, but of course, in football, things can change overnight. But if I may say so, it doesn’t bother him.”

With the clock ticking on the transfer deadline, whether Diouf remains in Prague or secures a Premier League switch will soon be decided.
